Banpresto Co., Ltd. (株式会社バンプレスト Kabushiki gaisha Banpuresuto) was a Japanese toy company, and a former game developer and publishing, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The last iteration of the company was formed on April 1, 2008, with the focus on the toy consumer business, specially supplies for prize games. It was founded in 1977 as Hoei Sangyo Co., Ltd. and started to be partially owned by Bandai in 1989, changing its name to Banpresto. It became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2006. The company was dissolved in February 2019 and combined to Bandai Spirits, with the company getting all rights and duties of Banpresto, becoming a brand for prize game rewards.
