Bari III (バリⅢ Bari III) is an enemy from Mega Man 10. They appear in Sheep Man's stage and the first two Wily Castle stages.
Description[]
Bari IIIs appear as a purple tower-like enemy, and attack by firing sound waves out of their mouth. These sound waves travel in a spread shot, with a blind spot in between their trajectories. The small sections below the enemy's head head can be destroyed, and the top of their head can be used as a platform; standing on the head for a period of time forces it to lower, crushing any sections underneath. The Triple Blade is the best weapon to use as it can not only destroy the Bari III with one hit, but it can also cut it down. When standing on top, Mega Man can kill Bari III with the Ballade Cracker by aiming his shot downward and Bass can also do this with his buster. However, it is recommended that they stand facing inward when attempting this, or the shot will still likely miss.
Etymology[]
The Bari III's name is probably derived from Japanese teen slang "bari san (バリ3)". This word is an abbreviation for "baribari sanbon" (バリバリ3本, active three bars), refers to signal level icon (tower and waves) for Japanese mobile phone.
