Beanball

Beanball, known as "Deadbean" (デッドビーン) in Japan, is an enemy from Mega Man ZX. Beanball is a hobby machine that was modified into a deadly weapon. It employs the principles of leverage, swinging back and forth like a pendulum a few times before throwing a small rock at the player, very similar to a catapult. If it manages to build up enough energy, the flaming rocks it hurls are enough to punch through walls and cause an explosion on impact. Beanball only appears in Area K Lava Field.

Etymology[]

The word "Beanball" means to intentionally hit a person (or in baseball, a batter) in the head on purpose.
