Imagine some Megaman LEGO's, being able to build places like Dr. Lights Lab and Maverick Hunter HQ. Truly any longtime fan or someone who loves LEGO's dream come true.
The set looks cool, yes, but I think that a larger scale set would be more appropriate-at least for a Wily Castle set. I do think a smaller set would be a good start for a Mega Man series, my only concern is how combersome the Robot Master Minifigures' arms might become. Imagine trying to do that with Guts Man. If they want detail on the Robot Masters, then perhaps it may be better to have sets more like the Bionicle/Hero Factory series. Or even something in between like the Knight's Kingdom series. Regardless, that is a cool find.
Yeah a lot of characters might look a little awkward. I'm mainly looking at characters like Gutsman, Knightman, and Sigma. There's probably a lot more that will, or could. Heck, somehow these guys might look fine as LEGO's. We can't tell for sure until they start releasing them. Like you said, they should start out with smaller sets and see if consumers are interested, and if they are, move on to bigger greater sets like Wily's Castle. Because let's be honest that set would be both huge, and would cost at least $100. Maybe a small collection of shortened versions of the first 6 robot masters stages would be good for a first seller?
A few ideas I have:
