CRORQ is a peacekeeping supercomputer developed by the government in 2010 as one of the most advanced systems of its time. However, not long after its creation, Dr. Wily "kidnapped" CRORQ and used it to do the opposite of its job- it turned the robots that it had made peaceful into nothing more than violent mobs. As such, Mega Man was forced to defeat the Robot Masters that led the mobs, defeat CRORQ, and put an end to Wily's control over it. Then, Dr. Light managed to reprogram CRORQ for good.
However, one year later, in 2011, peaceful robots around the world began to turn violent again, and Dr. Light sent Mega Man once again to investigate. After defeating the Robot Masters who seemed in charge of the riot, Mega Man discovered that Dr. Wily was once again responsible. Wily had managed to reprogram CRORQ again, so Mega Man was forced to defeat CRORQ and Dr. Wily yet again. In the end, Dr. Light finally succeeded in reprogramming CRORQ for good after Wily's second defeat in the series of CRORQ Incidents.
The Robot Masters who fell victim to CRORQ's influence are part of the CRN (CRORQ Number) Series of Robot Masters.
