Cargou Q (カーゴーQ Kāgō Q) is a stationary enemy from Mega Man 10 that appears in Strike Man's Stage, Wily Castle 1, Special Stage 2, and Chill Man's Stage in Hard Mode. They also appear in Challenge #28, Cannon Ball 2.
Description[]
The Cargou Q throws balls at enemies. There are two variants of them, but they act in the same way: Purple Cargou Qs throw round baseballs that bounce in a regular arc. Red Cargou Qs throw oblong footballs that bounce irregularly from a high short arc to a low long arc, and so it is harder to predict their path. They fire another ball immediately if the ball they originally fired was destroyed. Solar Blaze is the main weakness that can destroy both the ball and the Cargou Q, but the Triple Blade can also destroy both if Mega Man's in a good position, though it will take more hits than Solar Blaze.
Etymology[]
Its name is probably a combination of Japanese words, "bōru kago" (ボールかご, ball cage) and "kyū" (球, ball). The two types of Cargou Q are based on the two most popular sports known as "football": association football which uses round balls ("soccer" in the United States and "football" in most other countries), and gridiron football which uses oblong balls.
