Crystal Eye (クリスタルアイ Kurisutaru Ai) is Crystal Man's Special Weapon in the Mega Man series. When equipped by Mega Man, he can shoot a large artificial crystal orb. When it hits a wall, it splits into three smaller orbs that bounce about for a while before disappearing. They disappear after hitting an enemy. Only one Crystal Eye can be on the screen at one time. This includes the smaller orbs, so the player must be careful about firing the weapon, especially against an opponent that deals high damage like Napalm Man or one that requires precision to hit (Big Pets). The smaller orbs do the same damage, with the exception of Big Pets, who takes 2 damage instead of 4 from a small orb.

In Mega Man 5, Crystal Eye is effective against Napalm Man, Dark Man 2, and Big Pets.

Mega Man getting Crystal Eye in the cartoon show

Mega Man uses the Crystal Eye in the Mega Man animated series. The projectile is much smaller, but explodes with immense force. It can also have a delay added to its explosion time, presumably through a priming or charging process, as the projectiles that do not explode on contact fly much faster and have potent knockback. Crystal Man used the delayed fuse on his weapon to knock Mega Man off a tower. He fires the weapon out of his arm, which lights up to show the charging up of the weapon.
