The Deep-Sea Base Stage is Bubble Crab's stage from Mega Man X2. It is an underwater submarine base built into the side of the island, and is controlled by Maverick forces.

Description

The stage begins with X above ground at sunset before diving into the water just outside the sea base. The most prominent obstacle is the Sea Canthller, which slowly swims along and attacks X if he gets too close, but can be defeated. Its presence opens a gate in the ground, which can be entered or avoid to instead climb the wall and find the X-Hunter room. Regardless, eventually the stage reaches the sea base itself, which drains of water for a small above-water portion before Bubble Crab's arena.

Items

	Life Up
	Before the gate which the Sea Canthller opens, climb the wall and use the Probe 8201-U platforms to find the Life Up above water.
	Sub Tank
	Shortly after the Sea Canthller's gate, use a charged Bubble Splash for a higher jump to find the Sub Tank on a ledge. Performing "splash jumps" on the water's surface can help reach it as well.

Trivia

• The music played in Bubble Crab's stage was remixed in Mega Man X5 as the music for Deep-Sea Submarine Stage, Tidal Whale's stage.
  • Interestingly, Tidal Whale's stage had its own unique theme in beta versions of Mega Man X5, which was later scrapped. it is unknown why the change to the theme was made.
