Deep Digger (ディープディガー Dīpu Digā) is Uranus's Special Weapon from Mega Man V. This weapon can only be activated when Mega Man stands on top of certain square-shaped blocks, which he can pick up and throw forward in a straight line. Blocks that can be thrown will change color when Mega Man comes into contact with them. If a thrown block hits an object or wall, it will break into four smaller pieces that ricochet in the opposite direction.

The floor of Terra's lair is made of Deep Digger blocks; accordingly, this weapon is his weakness. This can be used to dig up blocks in Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto's stages to obtain crystals.

Trivia[]

  • The Deep Digger can also be used against Uranus in the second encounter against him by grabbing the ground pieces from under him and thus making him fall into the pit below, instantly defeating him. Defeating Uranus with this method however can be rather tricky as not only can Mega Man easily fall in the pit as well, but Uranus can regenerate the floor of his arena if the player is not quick enough.
    • A similar phenomenon can happen to Tengu Man in Mega Man & Bass, using Spread Drill to knock Tengu Man into the pit, but it does not instantly destroy him; instead, Tengu Man rises back to continue his fight.
  • This weapon works very similar to the Super Arm from the first Mega Man game, although they differ in the position Mega Man must be to pick up a block, the size of the blocks that can be picked up, and the movement of the debris that the blocks emit from their bodies when they strike an object.
