Devil May Cry 5 is the fifth game from the series, released in 2018. The player controls Nero, Dante's nephew, who opened a mobile branch of the Devil May Cry shop. In this game the Mega Buster is a DLC Devil Breaker for Nero that acts similar to the original Mega Buster. It is a rapid firing weapon that can only fire straight forward, lacking lock-on. When not in use, it will charge energy for a powerful Charge Shot that can be locked on. The Mega Buster also changes some of Nero's animations, making him jump, slide, and teleport like Mega Man.
