Dinosaur Tank Stage (恐竜型地上空母ステージ lit. "Dinosaur Type Terrestrial Aircraft Carrier Stage") is Wheel Gator's stage from Mega Man X2 and Mega Man Xtreme. It is a massive dinosaur-themed war vehicle that is actively bulldozing through a city.
Description[]
Mega Man X2[]
This stage features a unique touch: time of day. When X enters the stage it is midday, but as time passes, the sky changes into sunset, and finally night. In addition, the whole screen shakes in set increment, representing the Dinosaur Tank's movement, with the city background constantly scrolling. The stage involves segments inside the tank, but also on its back and underbelly. It also has a Ride Armor Rabbit available for a portion. The battle against Wheel Gator occurs in a room near the front of the tank, and its "eye" can be seen in the hallway prior.

Mega Man Xtreme[]
A digital recreation of the stage appears in Mega Man Xtreme in Hard Mode. Its layout is virtually the same as in Mega Man X2, but with Rush Roaders and a capsule containing the Zero Scramble program Rising instead of Arm Parts. Due to hardware limitations, the time of day automatically changes in rooms of the stage rather than being on a timer, and the background doesn't scroll nor does the screen shake.

 Arm Parts

| Near the start of the stage, there is a shaft in the ceiling. Air dash off the structure to the right to grab the ledge and climb up. For a boost, Strike Chain can pull X closer to the wall, Crystal Hunter can turn the Tiranos into a platform, or Giga Crush can give a slight air boost. |
