Electric Spark (エレクトリックスパーク Erekutorikku Supāku) is the Special Weapon that X obtains from defeating Spark Mandrill in Mega Man X. When equipped, X fires a small electrical burst in the direction he is facing. It can be used as a semi-rapid-fire weapon, as three sparks can be on-screen at once. If the spark hits a wall or an enemy, it splits in half and travels up and down the surface it contacted. When charged, a pair of spark columns fire horizontally in front of and behind X. In the remake Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, the charged version of Electric Spark will now cause X to release electricity from all directions from his body, striking the entire screen at once.
In Mega Man X, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, and Mega Man Xtreme, Electric Spark is the weakness of Sigma's first form and of Armored Armadillo, who loses some of his protective armor if hit by the spark.
The charged version of Electric Spark is featured as one of the Dive Triggers in Mega Man X DiVE.

Trivia[]
- In Mega Man X2, Neo Sigma attacks with similar purple electricity, summoning five electric shots or shooting a wall of electricity at X. These attacks are similar to Electric Spark and its charged variant, respectively. Ironically, Electric Spark was the weakness of Sigma's first form in the prior game.
