"Heyyy! Aren't I just shining?"
—BrightMan.EXE, Mega Man Network Transmission

BrightMan.EXE (ブライトマン.EXE Buraitoman Eguze) is an enemy NetNavi that appears in Mega Man Network Transmission.

Design[]

BrightMan is different from his original counterpart from the classic Mega Man series. He has a yellow body with an orange area in the front and a black detail in the back, a orange-black head, two glowing green cables with plugs on the back of his head, and two green spheres on his face. His forearms and lower legs are orange and black, his hands are white, and his feet are orange and green.

History[]

Mega Man Network Transmission[]

BrightMan was given the fake vaccine for the Zero Virus. He goes on a rampage in the Shopping District where he is fought by MegaMan. After being defeated, he is jacked out and cured. It is unknown who his operator is, but dialog between Lan and Higsby indicates he does have one. Although not specified, it is stated that BrightMan's operator runs one of the shops in the Shopping District.

BrightMan will employ his Flash Stopper after any attack is rendered, whether or not it hits him. If the player shoots above BrightMan, BrightMan will taunt with his Flash Stopper already up. However, the Flash Stopper is only up for a couple of seconds. He lowers his guard shortly after putting down the Flash Stopper, giving the player a chance to attack directly. When Brightman is defeated, the player will receive either a Remote Plug Battle Chip or BrightMan Battle Chip.

Anime[]

BrightMan has two different counterparts in the anime. The first is a Darkloid in MegaMan NT Warrior Axess who serves under ShadeMan (and later LaserMan) in an attempt to destroy the world and make it a place for Darkloids. The second is an Asteroid who is given by Slur to a local criminal named Ken in episode 27 of Rockman.EXE Stream.
