The Filter Shield is an EX Skill from Mega Man Zero 2. Zero can learn this skill after defeating the Rainbow Devil Mk. II at A or S rank. It's the only skill in the game for the Shield Boomerang.
By holding the shield up just before an enemy projectile hits Zero, the bullet will be converted into a small E-Crystal.
In Mega Man Zero 3, though unnamed, the hacker Cyber-elf Enethas will grant Zero this ability after being used.
