Frozen Town Stage (氷の町ステージ, Frozen Town Stage) is Blizzard Buffalo's stage in Mega Man X3, a residential area in the southeast of Dopple Town that was frozen by Blizzard Buffalo.

Description

The stage mainly takes place in a frozen and damaged street with slippery terrain and Mavericks. In the middle of the stage is the Nightmare Police room and a dark underground area that contains a Warp Capsule to the Vile Stage. After leaving the underground, X will enter a street that has a snowstorm being caused by a device. If the player fails to get the Foot Parts, the device can be used to rise back to the top area to try again. The device can also be destroyed, stopping the snowstorm and improving visibility, but preventing the player to go back up if the Foot Parts were not taken. The device returns if the player leaves the stage or loses a life. In the end of the stage X fights against Blizzard Buffalo inside a building.

After Volt Catfish is defeated, electricity will return to the town and the street lights will flicker on and off. Lamps will turn on in the underground tunnel and melt the ice in that area, making it less slippery and dim.

Items

	Life Up
	Use Tornado Fang or a Ride Armor to break the ice blocks near the Ride Armor transfer device. If using Tornado Fang, be careful with the spikes in the bottom of the path.
	Sub Tank
	Visible in the beginning of the large area before the boss. After getting the Foot Parts, backtrack to get the Sub Tank with an Air Dash. Alternatively, it can be taken a little sooner with an "iceless jump", but precise timing is required to get it this way.
	Foot Parts
	In the same large area as the Sub Tank, climb up, and jump over the second gap. Dash jump to the opening above the boss door and wall kick the small platform to reach the entrance.

Other media

In the Rockman X3 manga, Blizzard Buffalo started freezing a town near the ski resort he works after becoming a Maverick. X tried to stop him, and Buffalo said that X would not get in the way of his art, wishing to make a beautiful world without humans. After seeing Toshihiko, he runs away, but later returns to continue his rampage, being fought by X inside an emergency evacuation dome (緊急時用避難ドーム, emergency evacuation dome). Blizzard Buffalo returns to normal after taking a heavy hit on his head.

Trivia

• The theme music of Frozen Town Stage was modified with a Christmas touch and used for the 2020 Christmas event stage in Mega Man X DiVE, which itself is based on the Snow Base stage from Mega Man X4.
