Goo Shaver, also known as Gel Shaver (ジェルシェイバー Jeru Sheibā) in Japan, is what Mega Man X gains from defeating Duff McWhalen in Mega Man X5. In normal fire, X sends out a small wave of icy gel on the floor. This weapon is capable of only scaling down walls and will disappear if it hits an enemy. Up to three Goo Shavers can be on the screen at a time. Charged up, X launches a row of ice blocks - four on each side - in front and behind him which go up in the air then go down until they are off the screen.
This weapon is the primary weakness for Squid Adler and Rangda Bangda W's sun-like component.
Note: About the categories below, the game considers Goo Shaver as both a water and an ice weapon, hence the reason of being in both.
