Ground Dash (グランドダッシュ Gurando Dasshu) is the Special Weapon that Mega Man X gains from Ground Scaravich in Mega Man X6. When equipped with this weapon, X creates a medium-sized rock projectile, then fires it ahead. It has limited range, and is a slow-moving weapon. This weapon can be used to destroy or move the Nightmare Cubes created by Ground Scaravich's Nightmare Phenomenon - the rock projectile can destroy only the brown and red blocks but however does not have an effect on the black or blue blocks. In order to move such blocks, the player must have X touch the block and by pressing the Special Weapon Button, X will then dash at the block, causing it to move a certain distance depending on the block type (blue ones slide a distance, black ones move a slight bit; other block types are otherwise destroyed). Note that Weapon Energy will not be consumed if the player uses Ground Dash while X is standing directly next to any Nightmare Cube.
When Ground Dash is charged, X creates a large-sized rock projectile (freezing everything around him to do so), then fires it straight ahead. This is a medium-speed weapon, and has really good range.
Blaze Heatnix and Sigma's second form are especially weak to this weapon. For Blaze Heatnix, by default, using Ground Dash in its normal state does 5 units of damage to him, while the charged version of Ground Dash does 8 units of damage.

Trivia
- Despite there being both a water and an ice-elemental weapon at X's disposal in Mega Man X6, Blaze Heatnix has a primary weakness to Ground Dash. It is assumed that when fire becomes too hot to douse or freeze with water, the ground can be used to suffocate or "stomp out" the flames, robbing it of its oxygen.
