Heat Man Stage is a stage from Mega Man 2 that has Heat Man as the boss.
Heat Man's stage takes place inside tunnels with lava running through the silver pipes, and touching this lava will instantly kill Mega Man. However, the real attraction of the stage are its unique use of Appearing Blocks. Introduced in its own room, these blocks will later be used to climb tall blockades while fighting off Tellies. Some of these blockades have breakable walls that Crash Bomber can blow up, opening up quick shortcuts. The final Appearing Block section is the hardest, as the timing and amount is unlike any other Appearing Block timing in the series. This long section has a lot of trap jumps (where the player has to jump straight up so the following Appearing Block 'catches' Mega Man), though most of them are in the starting area. The rest are these simple jumps over lava, though the last trap jump will appear on the third of the low blocks that hang over a pit. This long section can be skipped entirely if the player uses Item-2 to cross the following lava and pit. Beating this stage will additionally reward the player with Atomic Fire and Item-1.

Items[]
Valuable pickups to look out for:
1-UP: Found in plain sight on a silver platform that filters out the pool of lava under the final Appearing Block section. Getting to it is easy but death is guaranteed if the player does not have Item-2. It is recommended to travel along the Appearing Blocks, drop down to this pickup, then use Item-2 to get across the gap. Just be careful not to smack on the lower Appearing Blocks and fall down.
Other media[]
- In the manga Rockman: Dr. Wily no Inbou, Heat Man's stage is located in a sewer system.
- In the Archie Comics Mega Man series, Heat Man's stage is a geothermal power plant.
- In Mega Man 2 novel, Heat Man's stage is a world with rivers of lava and hot currents of air.
Trivia[]
- The boss shutter has a glitch that can be performed by using particular methods. If Mega Man uses the Bubble Lead and jumps against the boss gate while getting hit by the Atomic Fire, or uses Item-3 to walk on the shutter's direction, he may be sent to a glitched version of Wily Stage 1. However, the "stage" can't be cleared, since Mega Man did not beat Heat Man to get the needed Item-1 to reach one of the ladders, forcing the player to reset the game.
- A reproduction of the section with Appearing Blocks is part of the Endless Attack from Mega Man 9, with the 1-UP being replaced by a Camouflametall.
- Heat Man's stage makes an appearance in the music video "Air Man ga Taosenai" ("Air Man Can't Be Defeated"). The player is unable to cross the blocks that disappear in his stage. It is mentioned that with Item-2 it would be easy, but the player can't beat Air Man to get it.
