Mega Man using Hornet Chaser
The Hornet Chaser is Hornet Man's weapon from Megaman 9. Mega Man shoots out bees to sting enemies or to retrieve items (doing both if it happens to kill an enemy that drops an item). The Hornet Chaser is Splash Woman's weakness. However, it should only be used when Splash Woman isn't calling her fish minions, otherwise the bees will attack the fish instead.
Attack power
This weapon deals only one unit of damage to enemies per hornet when used by Mega Man (excluding weaknesses and immunities).
Capacity
It costs one weapon energy unit per hornet. Mega Man can fire fifty-six hornets with a full weapon energy gauge.
Usefulness
- The hornets will bring back items to Mega Man, such as Life Energy and 1UPs (it doesn't work on tanks, though), even through walls;
- The hornets home in on targets, so it's possible to just shoot hornets every now and then and focus on dodging.
Trivia
- When retrieving an item, the Hornet Chaser's bee appears nearly identical to the classic enemy Chibee.
