Ice Blade, known as Hyougetsujin (氷月刃 lit. "Ice Moon Blade") in Japan, is an EX Skill from Mega Man Zero 4, learned by Zero if Fenri Lunaedge is defeated at snowy weather.
By pressing down while slashing on solid ground, Zero will send an ice-elemental beam from the Z-Saber that travels fast across the ground. Any enemy it touches in its path will be frozen instantly, if not destroying them outright.

Ice Blade travels along the ground, goes up and down slopes, but will instantly stop upon going off a ledge. This is a huge limiting factor for Ice Blade and doing ice-elemental damage in general, making Ice Javelin much more viable to do ice-damage to most enemies. Ice Blade's best use in stages is to freeze a string of enemies to get past or perform a dashing rolling slash through. Against bosses, Ice Blade is terrible. Against Mino Magnus, his body is invulnerable, so Ice Blade cannot deal damage to him at all. Against Pegesolta Eclair, you'll have to wait for certain attacks to be able to hit him with Ice Blade, otherwise, he's flying too high to be hit by the attack. He's out of range so much, that it would be more viable to just use Ice Javelin. If you do hit Pegesolta, however, it can do 15 damage against him, which is very damaging.
