Ice Man Stage (アイスマンステージ) is an ice-themed stage that has Ice Man as its boss. It appears in the first Mega Man game, its remake Mega Man Powered Up, and Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge.
Appearances[]
Mega Man[]
Ice Man's Stage takes place in an icy landscape and the caves within it. This is the first stage in the series to introduce ice-covered terrain and ice physics, where the player will keep sliding if they try to stop after moving. The first part of the stage has frozen tropical trees, suggesting that the snow is not part of the area's natural climate. Other gimmicks include water (though this is the only game where you can't actually jump higher underwater), a couple of rooms with Yoku Blocks, and the most notorious aspect of the stage: Foot Holders! They are orange platforms that move side to side over a large pit, and you have to jump across EIGHT of these (provided you don't have the Magnet Beam, poor soul). However, they also move up and down with no pattern to their altitudes, and they also shoot straight-moving projectiles off their sides. It is also possible to fall through them if you land on them when they're going up, or if you get hurt while they're going up.

Mega Man Powered Up[]
In New Style, Ice Man's stage was modified, having different enemies and one section that can only be accessed by Fire Man.
In Construction mode, the Scenery Packs Ice Starter, Ice Extra, and Old Ice are based on Ice Man's stage.

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge[]
Ice Man's Stage in the GB demake takes place inside and outside icy caverns that overlook a frozen mountainside, and is the shortest stage in the game. Ice physics are still here, but it is even more slippery than before. Due to how GB physics carry your movement inertia into the air, the same applies for the inertia from ice, making staying in place way more difficult than it should be. The stage also comes with 2 gimmicks: icy blocks and falling icicles. Icy blocks are platforms that only appear in the long indoor room, and will quickly melt if the player stands on it for too long, ultimately disappearing completely. Falling icicles are unique to this stage and only appear in the 2 rooms that lead back outside. They materialize from water droplets and fall downwards in an order that is distinct for both rooms. While harmful as they fall down, they become platforms upon landing that are ultimately needed to progress, and they can be reset simply climbing out of the room and back in.
