Jasmine (ジャスミン Jasumin) is the 13th episode of Rockman.EXE Stream. The episode aired December 25, 2004 in Japan.[1] It features the debut of Medi.EXE.
Plot[]
Jasmine is a girl from Choina and her Navi, Medi. She is training to become a pharmacist and has come to Japan to search for a certain medicinal herb as instructed by her master, Cardamom. Netto helps Jasmine search for the herb, but struggles to find it. Meanwhile, Bengel, the president of a pharmaceutical company, is after Jasmine in an attempt to get his hands on Cardamom's secret medicine. [1]
Summary[]
While running from the rain, Netto spots Jasmine in the rain, holding an umbrella over a cat. He’s shocked to find she’s gone when the rain stops. Afterwards, Netto visits Manabe in her office and they discuss a new case caused by a cooperation stealing top secret data. ON his way home, Netto runs into Jasmine again. Netto was weirded out when he continuously ran into Jasmine three more times.
In a dark room, Bengel, the head of company Manabe was investigating, declares to his workers that they are to mass produce a pill that can cure anything using Cardamom’s medicine, but as the scientists explain they can’t figure out how to make it even with the sample given to them, Bengel demands they keep trying. After the scientists disperse he gets a call informing him of Cardamom’s apprentice being in Japan.
At a food place, Netto gets himself a burger when he runs into Jasmine yet again. He feels bad as she stares at his food with her stomach rumbling so he offers her his food. The two talk, introducing themselves when Jasmine reveals she hasn’t eaten in three days because she lost her wallet. She asks Netto if he’s ever seen or heard of a blue dandelion, a herb she needs to find as instructed by her mentor, who also happens to be her Grandfather. She’s upset she can’t find one as it only grows in Japan and it’s the last herb she needs. She has her Navi, Medi, show Rockman and Netto a map that shows what areas the Blue Dandelion grows as they agree to help find it. They find out that the map is fifty years old and the grass fields that were once there have been built over. Despite this they agree to look anyway.
After finding various blue flowers in the areas and all of them being wrong, Jasmine is discouraged as they’ve looked everywhere. At the same time, someone working for Bengel spots Jasmine and follows them back to the burger place. While they eat, Medi tells Jasmine to never give up. Jasmine tells Netto about their goal to never let anyone else die of terrible diseases because Jasmine’s best friend, who was Medi’s first operator, had died to one. They vowed to study herbology like Jasmine’s grandfather to save others. However, Jasmine’s bag is stolen by Bengel’s workers. Jasmine chases after the man, stealing a bike to follow, but ends up accidentally crashing into the back of the truck the man was in and flying into the back.
Bengel tries to look at a scroll that contains a recipe in Jasmine’s bag, to which she refuses to translate. However he threatens her by plugging Medi into a computer into a computer with deadly viruses and only agreeing to spare her if Jasmine follows the recipe on the scroll. Jasmine agrees, but as it turns out it was just a fried rice recipe. Not believing Jasmine, Bengel brings back the viruses in an attempt to get the medicine recipe out from Jasmine, but Medi is saved by Rockman. Netto breaks in and escapes from Bengel with Jasmine, but they stumble across a greenhouse holding the Blue Dandelions Jasmine needed. While Bengel’s guards attempt to break into the greenhouse, Rockman defeats the viruses attacking him and Medi. However, he can’t win against poison gas, but Medi can and heals Rockman back to full health.
As Bengel’s guards break into the greenhouse and tries to grab Jasmine and Netto, Manabe arrives with police and arrests them. Netto and Manabe are shocked to see each other, but Jasmine is able to get the blue dandelion and return home to Choina.
