Jungle Stage (ジャングルステージ Janguru Sutēji),[1][2] also known as Slash Man's Stage[3] and Slash Man Stage,[4] is Slash Man's stage in Mega Man 7. It is set in a dense jungle where Dr. Wily deployed a large amount of robots to build a new base, including his treasured army of dinosaur-themed robots to ensure thorough security.[2]
Description[]
Slash Man's stage is relatively straightforward compared to the others. Mega Man starts out next to a fence with DANGER signs warning about the dinosaurs, with a large lush jungle in the background. After a Stegorus, there is a waterfall section with unique log platforms that fall down from the top. They bob to Mega Man's weight, and must be traversed carefully, though Rush Jet and Super Adapter can easily bypass them. After which is a lower area with bushy foliage covering another Stegorus. Although this makes him tough to fight as his weak point is hidden, he can be avoided entirely. Climbing up the mountain shows some pterodactyl robots flying around the sky above the jungle.
The next section has a whole bed of spikes, where Mega Man must ride two Technodon, friendly dinosaurs unique to this stage. They have a platform on their back and guide Mega Man across the spikes, jumping to new areas and lowering their head under midair platforms. After this is the mid-boss King Gojulus, who chases Mega Man across some spikes before cornering him to the edge of the cliff wall.
Once King Gojulus is downed, Mega Man reaches the peak of the mountain, which contains a short forest home to Derusu Bee hives. These trees can be burned by Scorch Wheel, which also destroys the Derusu Bee hives. Right after the forest is a secret base, which seems to be an incubation station for dinosaur eggs, evidenced by Tamagodon eggs, and Slash Man is found here.

E-Tank: While riding the second Technodon, stay on him for as long as possible. He will turn around at the edge of the wall and jump up to where the goodie is, letting you disembark and nab it.
Beat: Requires Scorch Wheel. Burn the last tree and a ladder will be revealed inside. After climbing up, it was discovered that Beat was locked in a cage and needed to use the charged shot of Mega Buster to break the cage. This not only frees Beat, but also rewards four free Beat calls.
Other media[]
Slash Man's stage appeared in the Rockman 7 manga.
Trivia[]
- The trees each have a large snake coiled around them, which may be a reference to Blanka's stage in Street Fighter II. When their trees get burned, the snakes' heads get comically singed as a result.
