Junk Soul (ジャンクソウル Janku Souru) is the Double Soul MegaMan.EXE performs with JunkMan.EXE by sacrificing an Obstacle Battle Chip. It only appears in Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon.
Abilities[]
- After performing Double Soul, all enemies are confused immediately and invisible is removed.
- Also, two random chips that have been used are recycled in the custom screen in place of Dark Chips, although MegaMan cannot reuse an already recycled chip.
- This can actually recycle Dark Chips if Mega Man is made Anxious, selects the Dark Chips but does not use them, uses Recovery Chips to cleanse it, unites into Junk Soul, and waits for the DarkChips to recycle. When they are recycled this way, they do not permanently lower Mega Man's Max HP.
- Charge Shot: Poltergeist (sends all objects on the field to the enemy, dealing 100 damage for each object)
- Weakness: With no object, the Poltergeist is rendered useless. Also, the chip you may need may not be recycled if you have used too many chips.
- Bosses to use against
- ColdMan.EXE: When he uses ice cube, use Poltergeist. It will do 300 damage total.
Competitive Play[]
- Junk Soul is easily the most powerful Double Soul in MMBN4 for competitive play alongside Roll Soul.
- Confusion is a nasty status that can scramble the opponent's movement, and it is afflicted upon Unison against the opponent.
- The ability of recycling Mega and Giga Chips after being used is extremely powerful, even if it is only a chance of it appearing. This recycling ability also recycles your opponent's used Chips, and can recycle chips which were selected but not used in battle.
- Due to the recycling ability potential, the Junk Soul user will have more AreaGrabs, MetaGel, Invisible, and Mega/Giga Chips than normal without needing to allocate space in the Navi Customizer for such programs, offering extreme amounts of utility defensively and offensively.
- Junk Soul possesses extreme field control against dangerous objects such as the Poison Pharaoh Program Advance or the Signal Red Giga Chip, which are normally large threats.
- Many players abuse the Poltergeist Charge Shot by spamming it as often as possible, regardless of whether or not there are objects on the field. This way players can temporarily freeze the screen to analyze the field or the opposing MegaMan's sprite in order to predict an attack, or simply disrupt the opponent trying to input commands for chips such as Variable Sword or Neo Variable Sword.
