Kao ga Mehda (カオ・ガ・メーダ Kao ga Mēda) is a giant hammer robot enemy from Mega Man 8 that is native to Sword Man's stage. It is in the background, thus it is invincible. Kao ga Mehda attacks by slamming a pillar into the lava. It mainly appears in the lava flow section of Sword Man's stage, but one Kao ga Mehda that pursues Mega Man appears in the battle against Gearna Eye.
Kao ga Mehdas are green robots with a yellow hammer for a head and a single eye in the middle of their "face."

- Its name is derived from the Japanese phrase "kao ga me da", which means "its face is an eye".
- Mega Man 5 has an unused enemy that is similar to this robot.[1]
