Kao ga Mehda (カオ・ガ・メーダ Kao ga Mēda) is a giant hammer robot enemy from Mega Man 8 that is native to Sword Man's stage. It is in the background, thus it is invincible. Kao ga Mehda attacks by slamming a pillar into the lava. It mainly appears in the lava flow section of Sword Man's stage, but a Kao ga Mehda that pursuits Mega Man appears in the battle against Gearna Eye.

Trivia

  • Its name is derived from the Japanese phrase "kao ga me da", which means "its face is an eye".
  • Mega Man 5 has an unused enemy that is similar to this robot.[1]
