Lava Factory, also known as Kombinat (コンビナート Konbināto) in Japan, is Flame Hyenard's stage in Mega Man X7. It is a lava-based energy factory complex located in southern Africa, near Angola.
Description[]
The stage begins with a 2D segment full of time bombs that threaten to detonate and kill nearby Injured Reploids, if the Reploids are not rescued in time. After proceeding through this section of the stage, the Maverick Hunters enter a teleporter that transports them into a large vat of lava. This segment is in 3D, and involves moving across connected platforms in the lava towards a second teleporter. This entire segment can be skipped through use of the Glide Armor's Foot Parts, which allow X to glide over the lava and directly to the end.
