This is a list of Maverick Hunters, an organization dedicated to defending the world from Mavericks.
Founder[]
- Dr. Cain is the founder of the Maverick Hunters. He is a human scientist who created the Reploids using X and Dr. Light's research.[1] Dr. Cain served as a leader and adviser to the Maverick Hunters for many years.[2][3] He retired some time after forming Repliforce.[4]
Commanders[]
- Sigma was the first commander of the Maverick Hunters. He was Dr. Cain's magnum opus, and personally led the 17th Elite Unit in combat. He was discharged after going Maverick due to the Maverick Virus.
- Zero was briefly commander during Sigma's first rebellion, until his death.[2]
- An unnamed commander led the Maverick Hunters in the Great Repliforce War, but resigned afterwards.[5]
- Signas was made commander after the Great Repliforce War, and led the Maverick Hunters at least until the Jakob riots.[5] This makes him the longest-active commander in known Maverick Hunter history.

0th Shinobi Unit[]
- Zero was made commander after his revival by Dr. Cain.[2]
- Blast Hornet was vice-commander, until he was infected by the Sigma Virus and joined the Doppler Army.[2]
- Magna Centipede, until he was kidnapped and reprogrammed into a Maverick.[2]
- Web Spider, until he quit to join Repliforce instead.[6]
4th Land Unit[]
- Flame Mammoth, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
6th Armada[]
- Launch Octopus, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Wheel Gator was an adjutant, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Bubble Crab, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Volt Kraken, until he quit after the death of Launch Octopus.
7th Airborne Unit[]
- Storm Eagle was commander until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Overdrive Ostrich, until an accident cost him his ability to fly.[2]
8th Armored Unit[]
- Armored Armadillo was commander until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
9th Ranger Unit[]
- Sting Chameleon, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
13th Polar Unit[]
- Chill Penguin, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
14th Special Unit[]
- Magma Dragoon, until he defected to Repliforce under Sigma's orders.[2]
17th Elite Unit[]
- Sigma personally commanded the unit until his Maverick rebellion.[2]
- Zero served and was briefly commander for Sigma's first rebellion, until his death.[2]
- X was made commander after stopping Sigma's first rebellion.[2]
- Vile, until he was detained for excessive force.[2]
- Boomer Kuwanger, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Spark Mandrill, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Flame Stag, until he defected to Sigma's rebellion.[2]
- Gravity Beetle, until he defected to the Doppler Army.[2]
- Chill Penguin was brought into the unit shortly before Sigma's rebellion.[Note 1]
- Storm Eagle was brought into the unit shortly before Sigma's rebellion.[Note 1]

- An unnamed Navigator assisted X during Sigma's initial rebellion.[Note 1]
- Iris was first assigned to support X and Zero in their mission on Laguz Island, and later supported Zero during the Great Repliforce War. During the war, she went Maverick and was retired.
- Alia was hired after the Great Repliforce War, and worked in the Maverick Hunters at least until the Jakob riots.[7]
- Layer was assigned to work with the S-Class Hunters during the Jakob riots.
- Pallette was assigned to work with the S-Class Hunters during the Jakob riots.
Research and development[]
- Iris synthesized DNA Souls into Parts during the Laguz Island mission.
- Douglas was hired as a mechanic after the Great Repliforce War, managing Parts alongside the Enigma and Space Shuttle repairs in the Earth Crisis.
- Alia worked with X's Armor Parts, and also with Parts during the Red Alert conflict.
- Pallette processed Rare Metals into Chips during the Jakob riots.
Other members[]
- An unnamed Reploid perished in combat at an X-Hunter-controlled factory.
- Mac, until he defected to the Doppler Army.
- Double worked as an aide to X during the Great Repliforce War, during which he revealed himself as a Maverick double-agent and was retired.
- Lifesaver units worked as medical officers during the Earth Crisis.
- Axl worked with the Maverick Hunters to fight Red Alert, and was hired as an official Hunter sometime before the Jakob riots.
- Shadow of the Far East division was assigned to infiltrate Giga City with X and Zero, but defected to the Rebellion Army.[Note 2]
- Depth Dragoon of the Far East division defended Colonel Redips in Far East HQ.[Note 2]
