Description/background information of an enemy or boss.
Health Points:
Lists the amount of health an enemy has based on the amount of hits it takes from the Mega Buster. Bosses with a health meter will always have an HP value of 40.
Attack Damage:
Attack damage Mega Man takes in pixels from his life meter.
Special Weapon:
The Special Weapon that the character can receive after defeating a Robot Master.
Weakness:
The Weapon that will cause the most damage against a boss in units (may also cause a weakness reaction, such as becoming stunned). For enemies, it will be the Weapon that takes the least amount of shots to destroy.
An ammonite-like enemy, found in water stages. Will attack Mega Man with its tentacles if he gets close. When attacked, it rolls over terrain until it falls to the ground and explodes.
A revised version of a Batton, a bat-like robot that pursues the player when approached. Will occasionally turn into a drill that drops straight to the ground.
A Chinese dragon-like enemy, found in Tengu Man's stage. Consists of several tail segments and its head; attacking the tail segments will make the Cline move faster and pursue Mega Man, and attacking the head will destroy it outright. Comes in two versions: Cline B (blue-and-pink) and Cline G (green-and-orange). Cline Gs self-destruct after being damaged enough; Cline Bs do not.
A red Count Bomb, a bomb that serves as a platform but will countdown and detonate when the button on the top is pressed. This Count Bomb, when activated, will sprout feet and walk in a direction before exploding.
A black gorilla-like robot that throws boulders at the player which can be used as platforms. If a boulder is already on the screen, then the Gorigro will toss bombs instead.
A walking wind-up pirate robot that appears in Clown Man's stage. Attacks by colliding into Mega Man. Occasionally swings on trapezes-like cords to throw bombs at him.
A giant hammer robot that appears in the background in Sword Man's stage. Attacks by slamming pillars into lava, which if Mega Man is on, could result in instant death if he falls in.
A small Batton that appears in three that follows Batton Mommy. Each Petit Batton will attack Mega Man one at a time before Batton Mommy does. Located in Sword Man's stage.
A ceiling robot capable of producing puddles of sticky slime that can immobilize Mega Man. Potom No. 1 is stationary, while Potom No. 2 can move along the ceiling.
A large train-like enemy found in Clown Man's stage. Can be ridden on by standing on it. Flame Sword is the only Special Weapon capable of destroying it.
An upgraded Gabyoall, a low-lying, spinning enemy that travels back and forth on a surface to damage and obstruct the player. Can only be damaged with Ice Wave.
The sub-boss of Sword Man's stage. A mechanical robot that shoots fireballs. Its weak spot is a red jewel that is only vulnerable when the boss opens itself.
A space-themed robot originally built to work on a planetarium, but Dr. Wily modified him for combat. One of the four Robot Masters built to protect the barrier to the "Wily Tower".
A fire-elemental combat robot built by Dr. Wily to use an ancient sword stolen from a museum. One of the four Robot Masters built to protect the barrier to the "Wily Tower".
A robot with two heads, created and designed by Dr. Wily, to look like a soldier. One of the four Robot Masters built to protect the barrier to the "Wily Tower".
A giant crab-like boss fought in the introductory stage. Is protected with a large shell-top and attacks with its claws and bombs. Mega Man must use Mega Ball to lift the shell in order for Yadokargo to be damaged. Astro Crush will destroy it instantly.
A large, translucent green Devil that serves as the main boss in the third Wily stage. Attacks by dismantling itself and changing into various forms to hurt Mega Man. Its eye is its weakness, but the boss's face must be damaged enough in order to attack it.
A robot created by Dr. Light to be a timber-felling robot. Seeks personal revenge on Mega Man for defeating him in the past. Found in a secret area in Duo's mini-stage. Drops a bolt upon defeat.
A combat robot created by Dr. Wily made almost entirely out of wood. Seeks to battle Mega Man in Wily's honor. Serves as a one-time mid-boss in Search Man's stage, and drops a bolt upon defeat.
