This page is a list of locations of Tanks in the original Mega Man series.

Notes:

  • Mystery Tanks will not appear in stages if Mega Man is already carrying one with him.
  • In Mega Man IV and Mega Man V, a (Mini) will be at the end if it is a Mini Energy Tank. Mini Energy Tanks become a full Energy Tank when four are collected.
  • In Mega Man 4-6, or Mega Man III-V in each Eddie or Proto Man location, they can give Mega Man any random item. By exiting and then re-entering the screen it can make it possible to switch the item around, making it possible to get an Energy Tank, but only if the player doesn't take unwanted items. The only exceptions are Eddie in Wily Stage 2 in Mega Man 4, Wily Stage 4 in Mega Man 6, and Crystal Man stage in Mega Man IV, along with Proto Man in Wily Star before the battle with L. Knuckle and R. Knuckle.
  • Excluding Mega Man 2 and 3 or Mega Man II, the Robot Master stages can be revisited allowing more Tanks to be obtained. However in Mega Man III, the stages of the first four Robot Masters cannot be accessed once the stages of the last four are accessible.
