Makoto Yabe (矢部 誠 Yabe Makoto), or KOU, is a Japanese illustrator from Tokyo. He joined Inti Creates in 2002 and worked on character design, background design, planning, scriptwriting, and direction, and contributed to various titles of the Mega Man series, namely the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series. He went freelance in August 2013.
