Mega Man X: Maverick Hunter's Field Guide is a handbook by Udon Entertainment released on August 17, 2021.[1] It contains profiles of Mega Man X series characters, in addition to Mega Man X's armors, Zero's and Axl's various forms, and a list of the Ride Chasers, Ride Armors, and forms of Sigma. The book is written from an in-universe perspective, and presents itself as an analogue alternative to the "Hunter Base's database", the Maverick Hunters' in-universe intranet.
Many characters from Mega Man X7, Mega Man X8, and Mega Man X: Command Mission received new full body artwork for this book, drawn by Jeffrey "Chamba" Cruz. The Zero Nightmare, Black Zero, and White Axl also received new artwork.

Notes and Trivia[]
- Whenever there is missing or incomplete information on a topic (such as what the Gaea Armor's Head Parts do), the book says "[DATA CORRUPTED]" or "[DATA MISSING]" in bolded, red letters.
- The Japanese names of the Mavericks are listed under "known aliases".
- Steel Massimo (Original) was never seen in Mega Man X: Command Mission. As a result, his image is not present; instead, a silhouette from concept art with the label "Visual Record Not Found" is in its place.
- Zero has the most amount of pages dedicated to one character in the book, at 6 pages.
- Under the description for the ADU-T400 Turbo "Cheval" Ride Chaser, there is an image of Green Biker Dude from Mega Man X2.
- Each game in the Mega Man X series received an in-universe event label under the "Known Mavericks" section, these include:
- Sigma Revolt (Mega Man X)
- X-Hunter Incident (Mega Man X2)
- Dr. Doppler Incident (Mega Man X3)
- Great Repliforce War (Mega Man X4)
- Colony Drop Incident (Mega Man X5)
- Nightmare Incident (Mega Man X6)
- Red Alert Incident (Mega Man X7)
- Jakob Project Incident (Mega Man X8)

- Similar to the Mega Man: Robot Master Field Guide, Zero and Cyber-Elf X from the Mega Man Zero series are listed as "Advanced Reploid Body (Theoretical)" and "Reploid Cyberspace Manifestation (Theoretical)" respectively at the end of the book.
- All X1 Mavericks except Spark Mandrill use artwork from Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, although have different designs than X1 sprites shown.
- Dr. Cain is labeled as an X1 character, but he was only mentioned in X1 and actually appears in X2.
