Gameplay of Mega Man X DiVE.
Game Modes[]
Story - The single-player campaign story mode missions.
Co-op - Set of missions for 2 or more players at the same time.
Event - Special missions where the main objective is to reach the highest rank possible in order to obtain specific rewards. Level is increased by 15 per difficulty.
Challenge - It divides into two sub-modes.
- Boss Challenge - Boss refights that will award the player with materials and Memory for weapons and chips.
- Jakob Orbital Elevator - Players must clear out waves of enemies on each floor with each character having a limited amount of uses. Some floors contain boss fights reminiscent of X Challenge.
1v1 Practice - 2 players fight against each other.
1v1 Ranked Match Simulation - 2 players select 3 characters to fight against each other.
1v1 Ranked Match - Same as the above except with a ranking system.
3v3 Combat - A game mode in the Closed Beta Test, where 6 players fight against each other in teams. This mode was removed for the Open Beta.

Memory Points[]
Memory Points are special data used to upgrade either the player's character or the weapon the player uses. Once enough Memory Points accumulated, players can Rank Up the character/weapon to a higher Star Rank, granting the player increased power as well as unlocking additional Passive Skills the player can unlock. Players can earn more Memory Points either through gameplay

Skills[]
Rockman X DiVE makes a radical departure in the gameplay department compared to the traditional MegaMan X gameplay. All characters in this game had their own specific skills attached to them. For example, Zero has his Ryuenjin skill while Black Zero has a Raikosen skill. Players can also attach several skills such as DiVE Trigger and Chips which allows the player to customize and use additional attacks to get an edge in battle.
Dive Triggers[]
Dive Triggers are very powerful skills that can only be used once every stage. The player can equip 2 Dive Triggers attached to the player's main and sub-weapon respectively. Dive Triggers cannot be recovered or recharged once used even after the player revived themselves mid-stage.

Chip[]
Chips are special skills that the player can equip to their weapons for either additional damage, or support, acting as the game's version of Special Weapons. Each Chip has can be leveled up as well as upgraded to a higher Star Rank. Players can also increase the weapon's effectiveness by increasing the chip's "Analysis Rate." In addition, certain Chips can only be equipped to a specific weapon type. The special skills granted by the chips were automatcally used when certain criterias were fulfilled, such as firing the weapon, or getting hit by the enemy. Once the Weapon gauge has depleted, the chip will enter cooldown mode which will refill the gauge allowing the player to use it again after a certain time.
Note that values shown are the default without upgrades.
