- The sound of the special "Hadouken!" released by First Armor in Mega Man X1 has left many fans believing it to be the voice of Ogata, remaining an urban legend to this day. As late as 2008, Ogata herself noted having played X in this game on her official website[1], seemingly validating this rumor, though this entry has since been removed[2].
- Ucchy and fans still believed to hear a female voice from a great voice actor, but a 2014 Rockman Unity interview with Setsuo Yamamoto confirms that it is just a sound effect recorded in 1993, due to most instruments and sound sources being limited in 90s.[3]
