So far these edits seem to be fine, they may need to be tweaked slightly to be more professional, though I’d like Quick’s opinion on this too.
Just keep in mind, that while this is a rising subject in this day and age, that a wiki is not for political debate. We are here to create the best encyclopedia for the MegaMan franchise as we can, not discuss gender politics.
It's stated in canon that Viddy's "beyond gender" and there's all sorts of character stuff peppered in that super-aligns with a transgender experience (the changed/preferred name etc). No one's really making it political until we start debating the character's identity, or the validity and merits of it as a detail. Ironically, a person chiming in like "saying the character is trans is MAKING THIS POLITICAL" would be the one making it a political issue or turning the subject into a debate.
I thought occurred to me, since I’m nearing that point where I’m going to start really nailing down Lan’s history in the anime. The show has nearly 200 episodes - that’s a lot of history for the few characters that appear in every episode, namely, I believe, Lan, MegaMan, and Mayl all appear in every episode maybe bar a couple. On those pages, I’d like to add the tabs that are like the MK wiki, where we can have “Season 1”, “Axess”, and etc. so the first page doesn’t get too long.
You up for that? I’d have to figure out how to make them, and we probably have to enable them some how, but I think it’d help keep the front page uncluttered and not blotted.
Hey Quick! I'm Technobliterator, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for MMKB. I'm here to help your community, and I'm a liaison to full-time Fandom Staff. If you have any questions relating to the wiki, whether it's code-related, policy related, or otherwise, I'm your first point of contact.
Feel free to let me know if you need anything! I'll check your RecentChanges every so often, but for the quickest replies, drop me a message on my talk page here!
I don’t think we have a large enough editing community to put one of those together effectively - right now it might be more “how do we attract more dedicated editors?”, as well as removing fandom, personal opinions, redundancy and less objective writing from the pages.
Hey Quick, its been a long time! I hope you remember me, I’m an admin on MMKB like you! I’ve recently gotten into the RockMan.EXE anime again, and I’m thinking of doing some overhauling of some pages. For instance, since the games and the anime can take a single character in two different directions, I’m thinking of making two pages for each character, like Lan Hikari/Battle Network and Lan Hikari/anime, as well as setting up either a banner that offers a small dictionary of localization changes (Netto -> Lan, FireMan -> TorchMan, etc.), or a page for them, so that when a person reads the page, they know why suddenly the character’s name changed without having to scroll back up to see why it changed and so on and so forth. Are you up for this?
Hi! Long time no see! I do think that at least the recurring characters should have separate pages to their game and anime counterparts like the Archie Comics characters, and the list of anime exclusive characters should have their own page like RocketMan.EXE and Saburou and NoodleMan, but I don't think I will be able to help much with it. But I'll see what I can do to help, so feel free to ask anything.
Would not it be better to do like the Archie Comics and Fully Charged characters, with a small mention in the main game page and the anime (Similar examples, but one with way more versions: Marvel, Final Fantasy, ...) Besides the anime, there are also other versions like the NT Warrior manga, Battle Story, ... And technically they are not an extension of the story from the same character like Mortal Kombat (changed timeline) and Star Wars (canon/"non-canon") wikis.
That is a good idea, considering I’ve actually forgotten just how many iterations of several characters there are lol. I mean, lets say for ShadowMan alone, there’s the Classic games, the Battle Network games, anime, and manga, MegaMix, Archie Comics, and probably more I’m not thinking of. So a page like the Spider-Man page would be a great idea! I’m not so amazing at HTML coding, but I’ll look into what I can do.
For the Lan Hikari/NT Warrior page already, i think I’ll rename is Lan Hikari (anime), since he does only appear in one anime.
You may not know, but the official Gaming Footers were recently retired by Fandom staff. As such, the current footers are outdated and not going to be updated by Staff anymore. Me and a few other users are looking for alternatives to replace them, and I'm currently tending to the Platformer Games Footer. Would it be possible for you to replace the current footer on the main page with this one?
