Metal Soul (メタルソウル, Metaru Souru) is the Double Soul that MegaMan.EXE performs with MetalMan.EXE by sacrificing a breaking Battle Chip. it only appears in the Blue Moon version of Mega Man Battle Network 4.

Appearance

Metal Soul MegaMan has a red helmet with vertical blue lining in the middle and saw blades on it, a blue torso with gears connected on the sides, red spheres on his shoulders, gray fists, and red boots with gray soles.

Abilities

• MegaMan can now charge non-dimming, non-elemental and Break chips for double damage and allow them to break through guards.
• Has the Break Buster equipped, so the normal shots will pierce enemy guards and destroy obstacles.
• Charge Shot: Metal Fist (hits the panel directly in front of MegaMan for 150 breaking damage and pushes the enemy back).
  • Weakness: Charge shot lacks range and cannot effectively hit enemies further away.
• Bosses to use against:
  • Metal Soul’s 2x charge can be abused with the Super Vulcan chip which, when boosted enough and charged, can do over 2000 damage, enough to one-shot most bosses.
  • ColdMan.EXE - The Buster Shot can completely destroy his Ice Cubes, effectively leaving him with one attack less to use against the player.
  • MetalMan.EXE - Ironically, Metal Fist can be very helpful when battling MetalMan by removing the gears on the field for a short time, granting more movement freedom. It will also hit him hard when he comes close for his own Metal Fist.
  • BurnerMan.EXE - Like with MetalMan, using Metal Fist can remove the flame jets on the field for a short time, reducing their threat.

Competitive Play

• The Break Buster can easily remove any starting obstacles or annoyances the opponent sets up.
• While the 2x chip charge is powerful, changing into Metal Soul signals the use of its effects. As well as Super Armor being an option for the opponent to equip, the usual multiplied damage combo can be avoided or stopped. More carefulness is required on its use.

MegaMan NT Warrior Axess

When SavageMan attacks a fair, MegaMan and HeavyMetalMan jack in to stop him. Since SavageMan was powered up by Dark Chips, HeavyMetalMan gives MegaMan his Double Soul for a fighting chance. Metal Soul inherits HeavyMetalMan's new Metal Break technique. This new power allowed MegaMan to drive SavageMan away.^{SavageMan Returns!}
