The Nintendo GameCube (ニンテンドーゲームキューブ Gēmukyūbu) is a home video game console manufactured by Nintendo. It was first released in Japan on September 14, 2001, in North America on November 18, 2001, in Europe on May 3, 2001, and in Australia on May 17, 2002. The console competed with Sony's PlayStation 2 and Microsoft's Xbox.
The first video game of the Mega Man franchise release for the console is the game titled "Mega Man Network Transmission".
The console was preceded by the Wii in 2006. Also, the console was discontinued on 2007.
