Number (ナンバーズ Nanbāzu, "Numbers") is a virus from Mega Man Battle Network 3. These can only be engaged on the field in event battles. It acts as a firewall to prevent the player from accessing certain areas.
No specific image is tied to a specific variant of the virus. Also, the virus is known to change its color as the battle progresses. They don't drop Battle Chips.
The virus must be deleted in one hit in order for it to be destroyed; otherwise, its HP returns to maximum. They must be deleted in the order that they are numbered, 1-3; if two or more have the same number, they must be deleted simultaneously. If the viruses are not deleted in a specific amount of time, or are hit in the wrong order (even by the buster), the viruses will unleash a devastating 1000-HP attack similar to the Guardian statue, called "ERR+DEL".
