Oath of the Tomahawk (トマホークの誓い Tomahōku no chikai) is the 33rd episode of Rockman.EXE Stream. It aired on May 21, 2005 in Japan.[1]

Plot[]

Dingo's childhood friend, a young girl named Shanka, is visiting the Akihara Museum of Art. The totem pole on display was once called Totem-sama in Dingo's village and worshipped as a guardian deity. It was stolen hundreds of years ago and its whereabouts were unknown for a long time, but it was recently discovered and is due to be returned, and Shanka has come to claim it. Dingo, who is unaware of this situation, sneaks into the museum to try to get the Totem-sama back. At the same time, Narcy Hide attacks the museum, aiming for the Totem-sama. Netto and his friends chase after the stolen Totem-sama.[1]

Summary[]

Dingo throws his tomahawk to find the location for his curry delivery, getting lost yet again instead of asking for directions. A flyer for a Museum exhibit is blown into Dingo’s face and when he takes a look at it he recognizes the picture of Totem-Sama. That night, Shanka meets with the Museum owners, discussing how old it is and it’s history. Totem-Sama is scheduled to return to Shanka and Dingo’s village, but Dingo is unaware of the deal. He sneaks into the museum and attempts to steal Totem-Sama, but fails miserably as he immediately sets off an alarm. Shanka recognizes Dingo, but as guards surround Dingo, Videoman breaks through the ceiling and tries to steal Totem-Sama as well. Dingo manages to stop the robbery, but the guards immediately charge after him. Dingo declares he’ll return for Totem-Sama and flees without noticing Shanka.

The Museum owners and Shanka meet with the Net Police, reviewing the footage of the attempted robbery. Netto is shocked to discover Dingo was also attempting to rob the museum, but Shanka explains that he was trying to steal Totem-Sama to return it to his village, unaware that there’s already an arrangement in place. Rockman is unable to contact Tomahawkman, meaning Dingo is unreachable. Shanka believes Dingo is hiding nearby, waiting for a new opportunity to strike, which ends up being correct as he hides in nearby trees. Shanka reveals that her and Dingo were childhood friends, being raised in the same village, but during a tournament that would decide the new leader of the village, Dingo disappeared. She believed he had a reason, despite the village believing he ran away.

The next day, Dingo attempts to sneak into the museum from the sewers, but he notices a whirlpool forming and opening up into a hole. In the Museum, Videoman breaks in again, but it turns out to be a decoy. The decoy obscures the room in a pink gas and by the time the room is clear, Totem-Sama is gone with a big hole in the ground where it once stood. Narcy drives a drill tank through the ground, escaping with Totem-Sama, completely unaware of Dingo who’s grabbed onto the back. The Net Police and Shanka follow through the tunnel made by Narcy where they find Dingo’s tomahawk. Narcy meets up with Inukai, Sunayama, and Saiko with various items. Manabe speculates that Dingo has joined forces with Neo WWW to steal Totem-Sama back, but Kifune shows reports of other items being stolen by Neo WWW. Using the knowledge of what’s been stolen, Kifune theorizes that Neo WWW is planning to make smoked meats.

Dingo, having been caught and tied up, watches as Neo WWW begins to put various wood item into a wood chipper. With the help of Charlie, Netto and Shanka fly across Akihara and search each campsite for Neo WWW. When Narcy realizes no one made a fire, Dingo begins making one for them. With Dingo’s offered assistance, Narcy agrees to untie him. Using the smoke from the fire, Dingo sends out an SOS. Saiko realizes the deception, but it’s too late for Neo WWW as Shanka notices the signal and instructs Charlie to fly there. Dingo is retied up, but Shanka cuts him free. Inukai, Saiko, and Sunayama use their Dimensional Chips to counter the arrival of Netto and Shanka, but Netto calls for a Dimensional Area just in time. Narcy continues shredding the wood, but Dingo plugs Tomahawkman into the wood chipper. While Netto handles the Asteroid Navis in the physical world, Tomahawkman fights against Videoman. Shanka manages to tie Narcy’s hand and stop them from operating Videoman, allowing for Tomahawkman to defeat him and stop the wood chipper. However, the wood chipper catches on fire. Netto finishes off remaining Asteroid Navis and Neo WWW flees. Dingo and Shanka manage to save Totem-Sama from the fire.

Dingo appologizes for trying to steal Totem-Sama before. Dingo finally realizes Totem-Sama was being returned to his village. Dingo and Netto wish farewell to Shanka as she returns to her village. Dingo reveals he left the village because he felt something calling to him, revealing he too has Duo’s crest.
