Pharaoh Man's Stage is a stage that appeared in Mega Man 4 and Mega Man IV that has Pharaoh Man as the boss.
Appearances[]
Mega Man 4[]
Pharaoh Man's Stage first takes place outside an Egyptian pyramid at nighttime, with multi-colored stars in the background. Immediately, the player has to deal with quicksand, a gimmick unique to this stage. Quicksand will slow the player's movement speed and shorten jumps, while also dragging the player inside. If the player does not jump out continuously, they will get sucked into the pits below and die. Going down after the quicksand section is over will lead the player inside the shady ruins, though there is a secret split path on the right side that contains a new utility, the Balloon! Inside the pyramid is a unique gimmick known as the Hover. The Hover is a cushioned platform that can ride over spikes, and remains stationary until the player gets close, in which case they will awake and start shooting projectiles from both sides. The player has to jump onto a Hover in order to get it moving rightwards across the spikes. Once stood on, they will stop shooting and keep moving until they fall into a pit or touch a wall (which kills them). There are 5 Hovers in the Battonton room and 4 in the final room.

Valuable pickups to look out for:
- Balloon: After the first big quicksand room, the player has the option to go into the pyramid for the normal path or to jump over the gap and go rightwards to a secret split path. This path has more of the same quicksand stuff and the same enemies, though they attack in less numbers. This pickup is at the very end, and collecting it will grant the utility, fill up Mega Man's health completely, and have him spawn much farther into the pyramid, skipping parts of the stage.
E-Tank: If you take the normal path, the last Mummira is guarding this pickup on a higher up platform that can only be reached using a utility. It cannot be obtained if the player chooses to get Balloon instead.
Mega Man IV[]

Pharaoh Man's stage in the stage select screen from Mega Man IV.
Pharaoh Man's Stage in the GB demake once again starts outside an Egyptian pyramid at nighttime, where quicksand must be maneuvered. Quicksand is unique to this stage, but this time can be permanently solidified by Rain Flush, stopping it from sinking the player or unleashing enemies. Unlike its NES counterpart, quicksand also appears inside the pyramid, commonly throughout the stage. This stage is also the first to introduce stone platforms, a new gimmick that will occur commonly throughout the game. These platforms stay in place, but when stood on, they will shake left and right for a second before dropping straight down. They drop 1 full tile of distance and Mega Man will have to learn this in order to progress through the stage. Overall, this stage is the most lucrative of the first four, offering more valuable goodies than the rest.

Valuable pickups to look out for:
P-Chips: A total of 18 P-Chips (2 large and 1 small) can be found and collected within this stage.
E-Tank: This one is well hidden in the outside area. One of the platforms has a right side that is shorter than the others. Simply let the quicksand take you down so you can walk inside that gap, and you will nab this pickup. If you accidentally used Rain Flush, you cannot sink down to get it, but a well-timed use of Ring Boomerang can still nab it.
Mini E-Tank: After the Mummira's introduction room, this pickup rests in a tight upper area and Mega Man simply has to go left from the right to get it.
E-Tank: In the same room with the Mini E-Tank, in plain sight. You'll have to fight off a Mummira and Taketentos from above to claim it safely.
Plate: At the start of the final room, nestled next to a corner in the ceiling. Mega Man needs to use the stone platforms to reach it, but he has to get it by jumping off the right stone before it falls. Actually timing the jump to grab it is easier than it looks, so using Rush Coil in hopes to guaranteeing the player grab it is not recommended.
1-UP: In the same room as the A letter, in a very tight gap. While it can be easily collected with Ring Boomerang, it is possible to get it without the weapon but requires extreme precision. First, Mega Man has to jump on the left stone to make it fall, and then jump to the pickup. Getting back to the stone requires a pixel-perfect jump off of where Mega Man is, and the punishment for failing the jump is losing a life.
Trivia[]

Sphinx statue from the Rockman 4 prototype.
- The stage in Mega Man 4 was supposed to have a sphinx sub-boss in the path containing the balloon item, but it was removed prior to the game's release.[1] In the final version, the only details left in the data are the snake on its forehead, its chin, and the sphere Mega Man is standing on.[2]
