The Poitton attack pattern is simple and straightforward. The virus will move around its own field for a small amount of time, and finally approach the border of its area, where it will place a motion-sensor grenade in the first square opposite it. The hand that deploys this grenade is the only portion of the body beneath the camouflage ever seen — it may be that the hand is all that exists. Much like the beam of the [[KillerEye]] virus, the grenade is tripped by line-of-sight (forward, diagonally up, or diagonally down). If the player crosses the grenade's established trigger line, an explosion will pass through every panel in that line. Stronger variants of this virus deal more damage.

Poitton (ポイットン) are viruses from the first Mega Man Battle Network game, which have a theme strongly influenced by military combat. The actual body of the virus has never seen; instead, Poitton only appear as lumpy bags of camouflage material, all with the addition of a clearly artificial bird resting on a twig protruding from the bag.

Much like the beam of the KillerEye virus, the grenade is tripped by line-of-sight (horizontal, diagonally up/down, or vertical). If the player crosses the grenade's established trigger line, an explosion will pass through every panel in that line. Stronger variants of this virus deal more damage.
