Roll with Pop'n Beat.
- "For beginners. Jump and Spin Attack are available."
- —Mega Man: Battle & Chase description
Pop'n Beat (ポップンビート Poppu n Bīto) is a vehicle shaped like Beat driven by Roll in the Mega Man series.
Similar to Rush Roadstar, it is not clear in the games if Pop'n Beat is a full transformation of Beat (similar to Beat Plane), if Beat is a part of the vehicle (like its Mega Man Gigamix version), or a separated machine simply modeled after Beat (like Big Eddie and Eddie).
Game appearances[]
Mega Man: Battle & Chase[]
Roll entered the Battle & Chase competition with Pop'n Beat as her vehicle.
Pop'n Beat's default special ability is Jump (ジャンプ), flapping its wings to jump and avoid most obstacles. Its charged special ability is Spin Attack (スピンアタック), a spinning jump attack that destroys any enemy and makes nearby racers skid.
Pop'n Beat is a balanced machine with good handling, being able to turn while in the air, and good acceleration. Its engine increases the top speed when not in first place up to 488 km/h on-road, becoming one of the fastest vehicles in the game after Red Striker and Hard Grandeur, but its top speed decreases to 440 km/h while in first place, being among the lowest in the game. It does not lose speed in off-road paths. Its tires are unable to drift, which could become a problem in sharp turns depending on the combined parts, this issue being balanced by the default Feather Wing.

Other media[]
Mega Man Gigamix[]
Roll and Kalinka requested Dr. Cossack to built Pop'n Beat so Roll could participate in the Battle & Chase, the two girls saying that Dr. Light allowed it. During Mega Man's battle against Turbo Man, Roll rammed Pop'n Beat on the latter to distract him, helping Mega Man defeat him. Pop'n Beat and Cool Mobile were destroyed by Turbo Man's final attack, but their drivers were protected by Freeze Man.
The square on Pop'n Beat's forehead is a hatch where Beat stays inside. While not Beat itself, unlike Rush Roadstar, Pop'n Beat's face was shown moving its eyes and beak.
Rockman Battle & Chase (manhua)[]
Roll wanted Dr. Right to modify Beat into a racing car like he did with Rush so she could also join the Battle & Chase, but he refused due to the danger. Unwilling to give up, Roll asked Rightot to help her do it instead. Roll joined the Battle & Chase with Pop'n Beat and used its spin attack to take down most of the racers targeting Rockman in the first race. She was able to reach the final round, but after Wily stole the prize and challenged the racers to participate in his course, Roll and Beat had trouble with a trap inside a tunnel due to hitting the ceiling when jumping. Dr. Wily tried to run away after Rockman got the advantage, but Roll, Quick Man, and Spring Man used their vehicles to block his escape route.

Trivia[]
- Pop'n Beat's ability worked differently in the promotional video of Mega Man Battle & Chase included in the Japanese PlayStation version of Mega Man 8. It appeared to be able to "hop" repeatedly even while in the air, making it glide. In the final version it can only jump from the ground.
