Potom No. 1 & No. 2

Potom No. 1 & No. 2 (ポトム１号＆２号 Potomu 1 gou & 2 gou) are enemies from Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass that hang in the ceiling. The two are the same, except that Potom No. 1 is fixed and Potom No. 2 can move. They drop little blobs of an adhesive substance that turn into puddles when they hit the ground. The player will get stuck and lose energy if they step in these puddles. In Mega Man 8, they appear in Astro Man's stage and Wily Stage 3. In Mega Man & Bass they appear in Burner Man's stage, Astro Man's stage, and King Stages 1, 2, and 3.

Etymology[]

Their names may derive from "poto-poto", Japanese onomatopoeia for dripping.
