Purple Rose

Purple Rose (パープルローズ) is a rose-like Mechaniloid enemy from Mega Man X5 that appears in Spike Rosered's Jungle stage. It attacks with vines that can grab hold onto the player's character for a few seconds, and also releases spider-shaped Mechaniloids. If they are about to release a vine, they will shake before launching the attack, otherwise it will open its petals to release the spider-shaped Mechaniloids. When their petals are closed they are invulnerable to any attacks, therefore they can only be attacked when they open their petals. Their weakness is Ground Fire (X) and Quake Blazer (Zero).
