- "This jumping lightning saber attack will strike enemies above you!"
- ―Alia, describing Zero's Raijinshou, Mega Man X7
Raijinshou (雷神昇 lit. "Raijin Rise" or "Thunder God Rise"), is the special technique that Zero learns after defeating Tornado Tonion in Mega Man X7. Pressing the special attack button during a dash will cause Zero to leap up into a rising slash, with an electrified cyclone spiraling up around him. While lacking horizontal range, the attack is useful for destroying enemies above Zero.
This attack is Splash Warfly's weakness, but is effective against most of the bosses, as it is capable of dealing multiple hits of decent damage (after using power-up chips).
Other appearances[]
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite[]
Raijinshou appears as one of Zero's Hyper Combos in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, creating a much wider tornado effect that hits opponents multiple times. Zero occasionally calls out the Japanese term "Shippuu Jinrai!" (疾風迅雷 Hurricane Swift Thunder!) just before unleashing the attack.
