"Forgotten Factory"
—Stage tagline, Rockman 7

The "Recycling Plant Stage" (再生工場ステージ Saisei Kōjō Sutēji),[1] also known as Junk Man's Stage[2] and Junk Man Stage,[3] is Junk Man's stage in Mega Man 7, an industrial area filled with scrap to be recycled.

Description[]

Mega Man will start with fighting Tripropellan and Gockroach S robots until he reaches the first elevator, both of which have Mega Man being attacked by several Heli Metalls until he reaches his destination. He then goes through a room filled with molten metal, and if Mega Man has Freeze Cracker, he can freeze the "lava fall" and open up a secret area containing the "S" Plate. When Mega Man goes on the normal route, he can either climb up a worn down elevator shaft, or he can use Thunder Bolt to activate the elevators, and if Mega Man isn't crushed, he can find Rush Jet with them. Mega Man can again use Thunder Bolt to activate the magnets in the next room so he doesn't need to worry about the Dust Crushers in the junk below. Finally, the last gimmick is the Properides, moving platforms with occasional junk falling on them, hurting Mega Man.

The beginning of the stage has several machines resembling the Famicom, and a Game Boy can be found by using Search Rush in the left corner. The first two red platforms near the beginning are Famicom controllers.[4] Except for the controllers, those references were removed in the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 version of the game, the Famicoms being replaced by lamps and the Game Boy by a toy.

Yamato Man

Junk Man's stage appeared in the Rockman 7 manga. After Cloud Man's defeat, Rightot informs Rockman that something is wrong on a scrap plant. When Rockman enters the area, Junk Man appears to taunt him, showing the Rush Jet Item and the last Rush Plate before leaving to hide them. Rockman finds the Rush Jet Item while looking for Junk Man, but after Junk Man's defeat, he says that Rockman will never find the Plate before collapsing. Without choice, Rockman searches the whole area for the Plate, alongside Blues and Forte, who fight against each other before being stopped by Rockman. Rockman eventually finds the Plate and leaves the area.
