Rock is working in the lab when Dr. Light rushes in frustrated that Wily is causing chaos in Mega City with Light's own robots and that his attempts to stop him have failed. Light orders Rock to open bay 6 which contains Bomb Man, who they both are initially confident can stop Wily, and Light states that he is their last line of defense. Rock asks to fight, but Light brushes him off, telling the young robot he won't let him throw his life away. Rock prepares to assist Light when he notices a small drone sneaking behind some boxes that quickly rushes at Bomb Man and tries to stop it, but the drone quickly corrupts Bomb Man, who attacks the two. Rock is thrown off the scissor lift they are on and is blown into a wall by a bomb. Bomb Man prepares to finish Rock off, but Rock sees a cylinder with a powerful cooling substance and equips it to his arm's tool, firing it at Bomb Man's hand, apologizing to Bomb Man as the bomb is frozen in place and blows off the his head, causing him to collapse near Dr. Light. Rock is distraught and rushes to help him and finds to be safe. The drone then attempts to corrupt Rock, but he manages to fight the control and destroys it. Rock begins to apologize profusely, but Light instead realizes that Rock was destined to bring peace to Mega City and equips him with armor and an arm cannon. Now Mega Man, Dr. Light throws him a helmet as he teleports into Mega City. He puts on his helmet and stares out, ready to fight.
