Overview[]

Mega Man (Dreamwave Productions)

Rocky as Mega Man.

Rocky, like his video game counterpart, is a robot modeled after a young boy in junior high, though he is much more temperamental, childish, and confident than his more soft spoken game counterpart. Rocky possesses an I.D. Chip that allows him to think and act on his own, making him similar to Mega Man's successor Mega Man X.

Rocky uses a wrist watch to transform into Mega Man, and possesses the ability to fly with jet boots, traits unique to this incarnation of Mega Man.

History[]

Rocky debuts whining to Dr. Light that he doesn't want to attend school, arguing that he is a robot and not a human boy when Dr. Light states that all young people his age goes to school. Roll makes fun of him, and Dr. Light tells him that his I.D. Chip - the Independent Determination Programming - requires that Rocky interacts with people so that it matures. Rocky notices that a robot was jamming the traffic light signals and becomes Mega Man to fight him, signing the inside of the car they were in as he takes off with his jet boots. Mega Man battles Barrage Man losing his temper when Barrage Man continually calls him small.

After fixing the traffic light, Rocky attends school, where he is bullied by the Boltz Brothers before Krupke interrupts and sends them to class. In Class, Rocky is pelted with spit wads. Low-spirited, Rocky is comforted by Alan before the Boltz Brothers sabotage the mashed potato machine. Rocky throws a bottle of soda into the machine, causing it to explode on the Boltz Brothers. He is praised by students as he leaves school, and a girl named Chelsea shyly introduces herself to Rocky, and defends him against the Boltz Brothers who confront him about humiliating them at lunch. Auto picks Rocky up and brings him to stop a bank robber. Mega Man defeats Express Man in a nearby river and retrieves the stolen money, being watched by a mysterious robot. [1]
