Rush Marine (ラッシュマリン Rasshu Marin) is an item in the original Mega Man series. When used, Rush appears and transforms into a mini-submarine which Mega Man can ride.

Appearances[]

As an item[]

In Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, and Mega Man II, Rush Marine can move freely in any direction underwater, and is able to shot from the mouth. In Mega Man 3, the Rush Marine can jump from the water and move on land by jumping continuously. Rush is unable to jump out of water in other games. Rush Marine is also available in the Wily Tower mode from Mega Man: The Wily Wars.

There is a bug with Rush Marine in Mega Man 4 that causes it not to move with the rising/falling action of the water in Dive Man's stage; however, this was accounted for by placing deadly spikes immediately following the section.

Trivia[]

  • There is technically a way to obtain Rush Marine in Mega Man 3 without beating Shadow Man. The way to do it is to defeat Spark Man (or use a password), then run through Gemini Man's stage. After finding a Weapon Energy item, highlight Spark Shock, then push right, then equip the invisible Rush Marine, and gather the energy item. Proceed through the stage until you reach the water area, jump into the shallows, equip the invisible Rush Marine, and use it. Rush will appear beside you, jump onboard and burn some of the collected energy. From that point forward, the game will act like you've unlocked the Rush Marine.
