The Sand Wilderness (砂の荒野 / すなのこうや Suna No Kouya) is the Opening Stage of Mega Man Zero 2.
Description[]
After the collapse of Area X, Neo Arcadia's countermeasures program to stop Zero turned this desert into a battlefield that raged for a year, the core of the siege operation by the "Desert Ocean" (砂漠の海) task force. Besides reducing Zero's sight, the sandstorm has chemical weapons containing micro magnet mines that cause a paralyzing and ECM effect on Reploids.[1]
After destroying the Mega Scorpia, Zero finally collapses in the sand. However, Sage Harpuia arrives mounted on Aztec Falcon, and secretly carries him to the New Resistance Base out of begrudging respect.
